MARTHA BECK, OPRAH & TRAUMA TENSION RELEASING EXERCISE
In the article Beck explains to her client that to prevent the symptoms of post traumatic stress, it’s very helpful for the body to shake & tremble. She goes on to explain how the mechanism works in animals as well as humans & that humans often get stuck in the freeze response. We do this by resisting our ability to shake & feel our emotions. Beck called this “armoring”.
